24 May, Kathmandu: CPN-UML has continued its lead in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City with 140,551 votes counted so far.

UML’s mayoral candidate Biddyasundar Shakya garnered 46,593 votes against 32,709 of his closest rival Raju Raj Joshi of Nepali Congress.

Liekwise, Ranju Darshana of Bibeksheel Party obtained 16,996 and Kishor Thapa of Sajha Party received 12,898 votes in Kathmandu.

Similarly, NC deputy mayoral candidate Hariprabha Khadhgi has received 42,406 votes against 25,382 of RPP candidate Rajaram Shrestha. RSS
