3 May, Kathmandu:

As the parties failed to reach to a consensus on the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee, an agreement has been reached to present the views expressed in that regard before plenary of the parliament for a decision.

The ruling UML and CPN-Maoist, and the main opposition Nepali Congress differ on the composition of the Committee and have failed to agree on the same at the Legislature-Parliament Regulations Drafting Committee. All views expressed so far on the issue of PHSC will be tabled for a decision before the plenary of the house, Parliament Secretariat Spokesperson Dr Bharat Raj Gautam said.

However, since it would take some time for the report to be prepared, it’s less likely that the recommendation will be made in the meeting that begins tomorrow.
