17 March, Kathmandu:

Vice-Chairman of the Poor Households support Coordination Board Secretariat, Chintan Poudel, has today tendered his resignation from the post.

Organising a press conference here today, Poudel said that he submitted his resignation letter to Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Chitra Bahadur KC, on Wednesday, saying there was no coordination between the Ministry and Board.

He said, ” I was sent to the board by the then government with executive powers but I was limited to work without any authority. Hence, I did not feel appropriate to continue in the post, and resigned.”

The cabinet meeting on November 10, 2014 had appointed Poudel to the executive vice-Chairman of the Board. RSS
