20 May, Chitwan: The ongoing vote counting of Bharatpur Metropolitan City has been halted from 7:00 this evening after the Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) protested the vote count claiming foul play.
Maoist Centre District Coordinator Ghanshyam Dahal said that they protested the vote claiming unfair counting of ballot of Bharatpur Metropolitan-9. He said that the vote counting would not proceed ahead until the unfair counting of ward no. 4 and 7 was corrected.
The Nepali Congress has also protested the vote counting procedures.
However, the Assistant Returning Officer Gambhir Ghimire has claimed that there was no mistake in the counting. RSS
