The High Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC) today has decided to hold meaningful dialogue with protesting groups and parties in the Terai.

The meeting of the committee chaired by the UCPN (Maoist) chair and the committee chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and held at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence at Baluwatar discussed on the issues related to addressing the pre-conditions submitted by the Madhesi front to the dialogue team formed by the government.

Similarly, the meeting has urged the government dialogue team to create consensus environment for addressing the pr-conditions of the front.

Following the meeting, the committee member and General Secretary of the CPN (ML) CP Mainali informed that the meeting stressed on resolving political problem from the political level itself. He added that the next meeting of the committee will be held this evening with concrete plan aimed at resolving the standoff in the Terai.

Similarly, the meeting took a decision on continuing the dialogue and urging the government to take special initiation to resolve the ongoing fuel crisis as it has badly affected the normal life of the people as a result of the undeclared border blockade by India.

The meeting held discussions on the issues related to the latest political development, election of the president among other issues. RSS
