CPN-Maoist Centre today directed all its lawmakers to support the impeachment motion filed in the Legislature-Parliament against Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki.
A CPN- MC Parliamentary Party meeting held at the building of Legislature-Parliament in New Baneshwor directed its lawmakers towards this end.
CPN-MC Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal issued directives to all party lawmakers to come together in favour of the impeachment motion, arguing that it was filed legally, according to said CPN-MC leader Agni Sapkota after the meeting.
Earlier, a meeting of the Party’s Central Office held at Party Chairman’s residence in Baluwatar on Saturday had authorized Dahal to decide on the issue.
Dahal in today’s meeting said that he took the decision to this effect in the capacity of the authorized person.
According to him, he held consultations with leaders of various political parties like Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on the matter before making this move. RSS
