The tourism entrepreneurs have been thrilled by the endorsement of the new constitution from the Constituent Assembly (CA).

The entrepreneurs have expressed the hope that the new statute would help maintain political stability in the country and environment conducive would be created for more investments.

They have hoped that the favourable situation to be created after the statute promulgation would further encourage the private sector for more investments.

Former Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Prachandaman Shrestha said that the most excited group from the constitution promulgation is the economic sector adding that new hopes and possibilities have emerged in the tourism entrepreneurs.

“The new constitution has encouraged the entire economic sector including the tourism sector. This has given a political outlet to the country. It has also activated the tourism entrepreneurs for economic reforms and mobilise their internal investments,” Shrestha added.

He hoped that the number of tourists would rise in the country after the promulgation of constitution adding that perception of the diplomatic communities would also be positive in the new context.

Likewise, Chairman of Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agents (NATTA) DB Limbu, Chairman of National Tourism Entrepreneurs Association Dipak Mahat and General Secretary of Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) Sagar Pandey univocally lauded the promulgation of the new constitution adding that it would open up new avenues for investment in the country’s tourism sector. They also urged the political parties to forward the agendas for economic prosperity after the new constitution. RSS
