Kathmandu, November 26: Addressing the 18th SAARC summit, Srilankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has called for all leaders of the south asian region to join hands in making the utilization of the available youth force in the region. “We must recognize the need to empower youth and foster relations between SAARC countries”, the Srilankan Premier remarked.
Meanwhile, he also stressed on the need of addressing the issues of climate change in the region.
During his speech which was unwritten, he also stated that he was inspired by his visit to Lumbini. He clearly stated that Nepal is the birthplace of Buddha.
