21 September, KATHMANDU: The 33-party alliance led by CPN-Maoist is all set to encounter the candidacy nomination date for Constituent Assembly polls by changing their closure strike schedule.

The alliance is reviewing its protest schedules today after the Election Commission’s rescheduled candidacy registration process by extending a week.

A meeting being held this afternoon at CPN-Maoist’s central office, Buddhanagar, will review the ongoing anti-elections campaigns launched by the alliance and unveil fresh anti-polls protests, according to the CPN-Maoist.

The agitating alliance scheduled two-day general strike starting from September 25 to foil the nomination process. However, the agitating parties postponed it yesterday evening following the EC’s move to extend nomination deadline.

The meeting will also discuss on the preparations for the alliance’s mass meeting scheduled for Monday at Khullamunch as part of the campaign to disrupt the CA election slated for November 19.
