8 Oct, Surunga: The District Police Office Jhapa has arrested 70 people aconvicted in various crimes and who were on the run.
They were arrested over a period of two months after absconding following their conviction by the District Court, Jhapa on various crimes, the District Police Office, Jhapa, stated. They were arrested from various places in the district.
In this connection, the police apprehended 10 of the absconders on a single day when they had come home for celebrating the festivals, Superintendent of Police Bishna Kumar KC said. He added that the police have intensified search for more absconders.
