Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman, Subas Nembang, has directed the bodies concerned to address the questions raised by the lawmakers regarding the convention the convention of the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) in the next meeting.

In today’s meeting of the Legislature-Parliament, CA Chairman Nembang directed the Minister for Youth and Sports, Purushottam Poudel to answer the lawmakers about the issues related to the Olympic Committee the have raised.

Seeking time at the beginning of the meeting, lawmaker Dhanraj Gurung demanded stopping the convention of the Nepal Olympic Committee as it has come into light that the Olympic Committee has been making preparation to hold the convention.

Similarly, another lawmaker Karna Bahadur Thapa demanded to stop the ongoing activities carrying out in the name of convention as attempts are underway to defame the country by capturing the spot sector by any individuals.

Likewise, lawmaker Dhaniram Poudel drew the attention of the Parliament to end the trend of implementing the projects at the recommendation of minister by sidelining the plans and programmes approved by the District Convention.

Lawmaker Ganga Chaudhari urged to manage reliable mechanism to control the erosion lands caused by rivers as people in border sides were facing inundation problem due to the damps constructed by Indian sides.

Similarly, lawmaker Dil Nath Giri complained that millions of rupees were misused in the name of Koshi Highway maintenance for last three years and he further complained that as the medicines were not reached in Sankhuwasabha district.

Lawmaker, Min Bahadur Bishwakarma complained on the bitter reality of untouchability occurred in Siraha district though Nepal has ratified the convention against racial discrimination. Lawmaker Yagya Raj Sunuwar said that the reconstruction projects were not begun though 100 passed after the devastating earthquake.

Similarly, lawmaker Ashok Kumar Mandal complained that the farmers were facing irrigation problem and shortage of seeds and fertilizers as the government was not allocating sufficient budget in agriculture sectors. RSS
