25 July, Rautahat: The district hospital in Gaur, the headquarters of Rautahat has been running without a doctor for the past one week.
The district hospital is now being led by an Assistant Health Worker in the absence of the doctor. Three doctors working on a contract basis saw their term end on July 17, thus leading to a vacuum of doctors in the hospital.
As a result, patients are forced to resort to private hospital and medical facilities.
The locals have demanded that the government send sufficient number of doctors to the hospital soon. The 50-bed hospital sees 50 to 70 patients in a day. RSS
