24 April, Kathmandu: The Nepal Police has taken its Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nawaraj Silwal under control for interrogation into charges labeled against him.

He had been accused of falsifying the work performance evaluation sheet attached to a petition filed by him against the new appointment of Inspector General at the Supreme Court and boycotting a meeting summoned by the Inspector General.

According to Police Spokesperson Sarbendra Khanal, DIG Silwal was summoned for an inquiry into the matter, but he proposed to bring his personal lawyer together so the police brought the two together. The Crime Investigation Department under the Nepal Police Headquarters has already begun its works in this connection. RSS
