18 Feb, Kathmandu: The meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has decided to provide Rs 300,000 in lump sum to the quake-survivors who have already completed constructing their houses. The payment however will be based on the supervision of the technicians deployed from the NRA or project implementation unit.

A meeting of the Executive Committee held under the convenership of the NRA CEO Prof Dr Govinda Pokharel took the decision to provide the total grant amount announced by the government to the survivors for building houses, NRA Spokesperson Yamlal Bhusal said.

However, the house owners whose house is under construction would get the amount in three instalments.

Likewise, the NRA has requested the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development to prepare a plan of action for providing grants to the beneficiaries in an easy and accessible manner as the survey of the affected people is in the last phase in the quake-hit 17 districts.
