22 Jan, Damak: A motorcyclist was killed in a road mishap at Damak in Jhapa on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Jay Kumar Rai, 33, of Banjho-3 in Ilam. The accident took place when a van (Ko 5 Pa 3702) heading towards Beldangi from Damak hit a motorcycle (Me 1 Ja 4044) that Rai was riding, said police.
Seriously injured Rai died in course of treatment at Damak-based Lifeline Hospital. The Area Police Office, Damak, has arrested the van driver and impounded the vehicle.
