Nepali Congress central member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has said it was not necessary to make immediate decision on the impeachment of CIAA Chief Lokman Singh Karki.
During an interaction by Nepal Tarun Dal on its 63rd establishment day here Wednesday, leader Dr Mahat said Nepali Congress has not concluded on the impeachment against CIAA Chief. The NC will make final decision on impeachment after the impeachment investigation committee submits its report, he made it clear.
He further said giving final view before the recommendation of the impeachment committee would be faulty, for the members of parliament are the ultimate people to take decision.
On a different note, he said government should not delay to address the genuine demands of the Madhesi Front.
UML committed to protecting constitution
Meanwhile, Deputy General Secretary of the CPN-UML Bishnu Poudel said his party was committed to protecting and implementing constitution.
He was saying this while speaking at a programme organized by Press Chautari Nepal Kapilvastu Chapter here on Wednesday.
Leader Poudel accused the government of not becoming serious to implement constitution.
