21 April, Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari returned home this evening after completing the five-day State visit to India. Upon her arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the Head-0f-the-State was welcomed at the VVIP longue by Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Onsari Gharti, Deputy Prime Ministers Kamal Thapa and Krishna Bahadur Mahara and government high-ranking officials.

On the occasion, the Nepal Army presented a 21-gun salute to the President.

Minister for Peace and Reconstruction, Sita Devi Yadav, who was also in the President’s entourage, returned home with the delegation. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat had already returned home with the completion of the President’s important meetings in New Delhi.

The President had left for the India visit on April 17 at the friendly invitation of her Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee. RSS
