25 Sept, Kathmandu: The Embassy of China, Nepal organized a reception today to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Speaker Onsari Ghartimagar, Deputy Prime Ministers Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar and Gopal Man Shrestha, Home Minister Janardan Sharma, Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet among others were present on the occasion.

Likewise, former Prime Ministers KP Sharma Oli, Jhalanath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Baburam Bhattarai, Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha and other politicians also attended the reception.

On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong said that Nepal and China enjoy very close, mutual and steadfast relations since long past.

She said that Nepal’s participation in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during the premiership of the then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and China’s announcement to provide 10 million US dollars support to the flood affected in Nepal and many other agreements have further strengthened the bilateral relations.
