17 Feb, Kathmandu: Preparations have been completed for the unity convention of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) that is taking place at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu from today.

More than 90 per cent of the 3,315 representatives have already arrived in the capital city to attend the event where leaders of various political parties and heads of the diplomatic missions in Kathmandu among others are also making their presence, according to RPP.

The fourth largest party in the parliament has allocated Rs 15.5 million for covering various sorts of expenses including stage management, publicity and food and accommodation for the representatives during its four-day event.

Dr Lohani’s ‘Rastrabadi Chintanka Ayamharu’ launched
A book ‘ Rastrabadi Chintanka Ayamharu’ (Dimensions of Nationalist Thoughts) penned by RPP National Chairman Dr Prakash Chandra Lohani was unveiled amid a programme here Thursday.

RPP leader and former Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand launched the book and commended the writer, Dr Lohani, as an intellectual and nationalist leader.

Writer Dr Lohani voiced his concern over the partisan thoughts in domination in the national politics rather than nationalistic ones.

Published by Aishwarya Publication Pvt Ltd, the book compiles articles written by Dr Lohani on several occasions over country’s socio-economic and political issues.
