23 August, Baniyani (Jhapa): The flood survivors in Jhapa district have been suffering from skin and respiratory diseases.

The health camps run in the flood-hit areas in the district found this problem. Most of the visitors at the health camps complained of the skin and respiratory diseases and fever, said programme officer Kul Bahadur Poudel at District Public Health Office.

According to him, as many as 2,478 flood survivors had their health checked in the camps.

The health camps were conducted by the doctors from the cooperation of Amda Hospital Damak, Nepal Red Cross Society.

The programme officer however said there was no epidemic. RSS
