30 August, Bhaktapur:
CPN (UML) Secretary, Pradeep Gyawali, today said the constitution need not be amendment as it has already been amended for addressing the reasonable demands of the Madhesi Front.

Speaking at an interactive programme organized by Rafat Sanchar, Gyawali made it clear CPN (UML) would not be ready for amending the constitution just to fulfil the interest of some leaders.

Stating that the constitution amendment demanded by the Madhesi Front was not the demand of the Madhesi people, the UML leader termed it wrong to amend the constitution again.

He said the constitution amendment was being discussed in some other country rather than in Nepal’s soil hence proving that it is not the demand of the people of Madhes.

He was of the opinion that the political parties must unite to fend off external intervention.
