Against Rape
30 May, Jhapa: A 16-year-old schoolgirl was gang-raped at Topgachhi-7 in Jhapa, today’s The Kathmandu Post reports.
The young men had taken the victim under control when she was returning home from a film hall at Kerkha bazaar after an evening show.
The incident came to light only after 11 days owing to a death threat the perpetrators had issued to the victims, police said.
Police Inspector Santulal Jayaswal said the gang rad assaulted the victim in a bathroom of the local Sahid Dharmabhakta Higher Secondary School, where she studies.
