22 June, Nepalgunj: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said that country could find a path for development only after the unity among the people of Madhes, hill and mountain.

Addressing the election gathering organised at different places of Banke district today on the eve of the second-round of local-level elections, Chairman Dahal said, “One who does not accept the existence of the people Madhes and hill and indigenous nationalities, can never be a nationalist in a true sense.”

“The election is directly related to the sovereign rights of the people and escaping this means is to deny the people’s rights,” he said.

The CPN (MC) chair further said that his party which had raised arms with the people’s support to bring historic change in the country was trying to institutionalise such achievement. The party aspired to see the people enjoying their rights at their doorsteps and it was hopeful of getting the people’s support in this regard.

The former Prime Minister further added that he believed that the people and the democratic system must to win every election and we all should view the election accordingly. RSS
