9 march Birgunj. Police have arrested and started investigation into 14 suspects including 11 children, who were supposed to work as child laboureres in Karnataka state of India.

In course of undertaking routine security screening, the Inarwa Police Post found children without guardians and arrested them for futher investigation.

Police netted them from Shankaracharyadwar along the Nepal-India border while they were about to board on a train in Raksaul.

Among the children arrested are Phursang Tamang, Sanga Mokta and Sherap Thing of Rai village, Makawanpur, Bir Bahadur Ghising of Thaparbari, Buddha Lama, Amit Ghalan, Pramodh Pariyar, Syang Moktan and Lal bahadur Moktan of Dubarbana, Bara and Sanukaji Moktan of Lalbandi, Sarlahi and Nawal Tamang of Surasa, Rautahat.

The arrestees are at the age group of 9-12. Also arrested were Yubak Thing, 30, of Rai village, Makawanpur, Dev Prasad Lama, 21, of Rangapur, Rautahat and Durga Bahadur Lopchan of Dubarbana, bara for allegedly involved in an illegal act of getting children into labour force.

Necessary investigation into the case is underway, said Sub Inspector at Inarwa Police Post Gopal Yadav. RSS
