20 Jan, Kathmandu:

The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued an order asking the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) not to deprive its Commissioner Sabitri Gurung from her responsibilities.

A division bench of Sushila Karki and Devendra Gopal Shrestha issued the order to not deny work to Commissioner Gurung.
Advocate Ramesh Kafle had filed a writ petition at the SC citing that Commissioner Gurung was taking double facilities which was against constitution.

The SC had sought the documents relating to Gurung after reports that she was also working as an Associate Professor at Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus, Tribhuvan University.

Following the controversy, CIAA Chief Commissioner Lokman Singh Karki had left Member Gurung without responsibility. RSS
