Police have impounded a tanker which was carrying aviation fuel and arrested four people at Belchowk of Narayangadh on the charge of black marketeering last night, said police.

The tanker (Na 2 Kha 4365) was found supplying fuels charging high price at different places as it was headed from Nepalgunj, police added. Chitwan police Chief SP Basanta Kunwar said that the tanker was carrying fuel without coordinating with Nepal Oil Corporation.

He added that the tanker was arbitrarily supplying fuels along the way to Chitwan and was impounded while it was storing the fuel at a private home in Narayangadh.

The arrestees were Binod Awasthi and his assistant of Chitwan Belchowk mediator Kishor Patel of Birgunj and tanker driver Somlal Blon of Makawanpur.

The police have suspected that the fuel might have unofficially brought in connection with NOC officials, however, investigation was going on.
