The construction of a concrete bridge over the Kaligandaki River has started.

The bridge is to be constructed at Gaurighat that connects Rampur municipality-9 and Sankhar VDC-9 of Syangja at the government investment of Rs 151.1 million.

Engineer Pabitra Mani Acharya said that the Sapana Himdung and Thokar Construction Company has started works to complete the bridge construction by mid April 2018 as per the contract.

The newly-constructed bridge will have 174-metre length and six-metre breadth.

Bridge Construction Committee Vice-Chairperson Humnath Neupane said that as many as 50,000 people from Rampur, Sankhar, Sekham and Chapakot area will be benefitted from the construction of the bridge.

Water-filter distributed to schools
Water-filters have been distributed to four schools of remote Archale VDC of the district.

The United Mission Hospital’s Department of Community Health, Palpa distributed eight filters to four schools here. Gorakhnath Secondary School received four filters, Sindur Lower Secondary School two, Akala Primary School one and Kamala Primary one.RSS
