18 June, KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Interim Election Council Khil Raj Regmi and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Nil Kantha Upreti have held talks today for their bids to make the upcoming CA election a success– a matter of prestige to both of them and a national agenda for promulgating a new constitution in Nepal.

During the meeting, Regmi has directed Upreti to expedite preparations for Novemeber 19 CA election.

However, Upreti asked Regmi that was really CA election possible on November 19. In response, Regmi has said that the government would leave no stone unturned to conduct the CA election.

Convinced by the statement of Regmi, Upreti said preparations are on to issue of election code of conduct. After the issuance of election code of conduct, the government would be restricted for officials’ promotion and transfers.
