24 Sept-Kathmandu:
CPN-Maoist central committee member Mahendra Paswan and other leaders of the CPN-Maoist from Tarai-Madhes have deserted the party.
Organizing a news conference here Tuesday, leader Paswan said they quit the party as it was attempting to languish the country into conflict and opposing the upcoming election by going against the national necessity and needs.
Other leaders deserting the party are CPN-Maoist central leader Rabindra Patel, Dhanusha District in-charge of the party Dipak Yadav, Bara District in-charge Ranjit Patel, Madhes District Organization in-charge Ghanshyam Prasad Yadav, Parsa district co-incharge Rajdev Paswan, Dhanusa district co-incharge Jageshwor Mahato and other leaders from the Tarai-Madhes region.
On the occasion, Paswan also announced the formation of the CPN-Maoist (Bidrohi) under his leadership.
Paswan, who is also the former minister, charged the CPN-Maoist of developing nexus with royalist forces against republicanism, federalism and secularism.
He even went on to say that CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidhya and others were raising untrue issues in the name of nationality.
Paswan said that the CPN-Maoist would go on the verge of collapse if the leaders fail to mend their behavior and urged not to create crisis in the country.
Paswan said that discussions were on to join the UCPN (Maoist) and added that they would remain committed to making the upcoming election a success.
