20 August, Myagdi : An Emergency Relief Fund has been established for an emergency rescue of children in Myagdi district.

The District Child Welfare Committee established the Fund of Rs 750,000 with the support of different bodies including the District Development Committee, Ministry, said District Child Rights Officer, Mithu Acharya.

Poor and helpless children would be provided with financial support on the basis of recommendation of the District Child Welfare Committee formed under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer, Tek Bahadur KC.

The Committee said that it has increased the amount of the fund every year and has target to make it at least one million rupees.
Last year, the Committee had provided financial support of Rs 7,500 to a heart patient child from

Dalit community, Rs 5,000 to a child suffering from pneumonia and Rs 3,500 to an infant from the Fund.

Similarly, the Committee also provided financial support of Rs 35,500 to different people from the Fund, it is learnt. RSS
