The fund raised from Facebook campaign to support the treatment of a kidney patient has been handed over to the patient’s father amidst a programme in Birtamod of Jhapa on Saturday.
A total of Rs 1.08 million received from different persons for the treatment of 13-year-old Bibek Angbuhang of Limba VDC-3 in Panchthar district was handed over to his father, Netra Bahadur Angbuhang.
Bibek is receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for 10 months due to kidney related ailment. The patient would be taken to the capital city for further treatment after the fund collection, persons involved in the fund collection said.
Coordinator of the fund collection, Durga Kumari Sherma, said that Nepalis living at home and abroad doled out the assistance for the treatment patient.
Sherma said that the fund raising campaign is still on.
The Nepalis migrant workers in the UK, Japan, Malaysia, Israel, South Korea, Australia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other countries had contributed a certain amount of money in the fund. RSS
