Festivals are common of all castes and communities: Govt’s spokesperson Karki

The government’s Spokesperson Surendra Kumar Karki today morning said various festivals of the country are common of all castes and communities.

Speaking at a open race competition and a programme organised by Birtamod town committee of CPN (Maoist Centre) in Kakadvitta to exchange greetings on the occasion of Tihar, Chhath, Chasok Tangnam and Nepal Sambad, Karki, also Minister for Information and Communications, said the country has adopted the police of nationalism respecting self-dignity of people of all castes and communities.

Also on the occasion, Yamdev Rai of Madhumalla in Morang won the race.

Rai was presented with Rs 11,000 in cash. Likewise, Ajaya Danuwar of Shaniarjun in Jhapa ended up as first runner-up while Santosh Das of Birtamod and Prakash Danuwar of Shaniarjun became second and third runner-ups respectively. RSS
