CPN (Maoist Centre) Secretary Giriraj Mani Pokhrel has said that prime agenda of the political parties is to make the constitution widely acceptable.
Taking part in a reception organised in his electoral constituency Bardibas this morning on the occasion of the Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals, the leader from the major ruling party said the political parties were working out on a draft to amend the constitution so as to make it acceptable to all. He was of the view of addressing the voices of the Madhes regarding the constitution to guarantee the greater acceptability of the country’s main law, seeking a positive role from the major opposition CPN (UML) in the constitution amendment process.
The former Minister expressed his hope that the government would come up with the constitution amendment proposal soon. RSS
