8 Oct, Kathmandu:

The government on Wednesday tabled amendment bill at the parliamentary secretariat for amendment of the new constitution to address the demands raised by the agitating Madhes-centric parties.

Minister for Law, Justice, Constituent Assembly and Parliamentary Affairs Narhari Acharya registered the bill for amendment, said Parliament Secretariat Assistant Spokesperson Sudarshan Kuinkel.

It may be noted that the Madhes-centric parties have been agitating for more than one and a half month demanding determination of the constituency on basis of population, proportional inclusiveness and delineation of the provincial borders among others. RSS
