The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has on Monday sent an official letter recalling Nepali Ambassador to India, Dip Kumar Upadhyay, back home.

The meeting of Council of Ministers held on May 6 had decided to recall Ambassador Upadhyay.

Minister for Industry Som Prasad Pandey told RSS that a letter recalling Ambassador Upadhyay has already been dispatched to New Delhi.
As per the letter, Ambassador Upadhyay is to return home within a fortnight, as he has been relieved of his duties.
