The Nepal Academy of Music and Drama handed over its emblem to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today. The Prime Minister is the Chief Patron of the Academy.

A delegation comprising the Academy office-bearers and led by Chancellor Saru Bhakta Shrestha, handed the Academy emblem to the Prime Minister at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar.

The delegation also apprised PM Oli of the overall condition and the future plans of the academy.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli said that the writers and artists have a paramount role to play in preservation and promotion of the country’s art, culture and music, according to the Academy Vice-Chancellor Shambhujeet Baskota.

Stating efforts have been made to accommodate the issues relating to the rights of all sides in the new constitution, PM Oli expressed commitment that the government would carry out works so that the writers and artists as well as the citizens can hold their heads high. RSS
