Peacekeeping Force11 July, Kathmandu: The government has decided to send the peacekeeping armies to Syria following the request of the United Nation.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today has made the decision to send 1 hundred 30 Nepal Army peacekeepers in July and another team of 1 hundred 30 peacekeepers in September to the war ravaged Syria as per the request made by the UN.

Nepal has been contributing Army peacekeepers to Iraq, East Timor, Congo, Liberia, Haiti, Sudan among other half dozen countries.
The cabinet meeting has also appointed Dhir Bahadur Chand as a judge of the Labour Court, informed the Information and Communication Minister Madhav Paudel. Earlier, Chandwas the Speaker of the Special Court. He was appointed as per the recommendation of Legal Service Commission.
