President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has pointed out the need of maximum support to increase an access to quality education to all, increase the children’s enrollment and lessen the drop put rate.

President Yadav said so while addressing a programme organised at Sheetal Niwas today on the occasion of the 36th Education Day and International Literacy Day.

Stating that the country lacks sufficient number of skilled human resources due lack of quality and professional education, the President said that Nepalis workers employed overseas have been paid low and are compelled to carryout difficult works due to lack of skills.

President Yadav said, “Collaboration and partnership among all sides is necessary for the transformation and development of the society as well as to build a prosperous nation through the development of education by reconstructing the damages caused by the April 25 earthquake.”

He further mentioned that it was the need of the hour to guarantee equitable access to all in education to produce skilled and capable human resources to address the demands of the national and international labour markets, institutionalising the federal democratic republic Nepal.

President Yadav suggested that the best students of different colleges, who obtained their degrees in and out of the country, to utilize their knowledge and skills in building a prosperous Nepal.

Similarly, Minister for Education, Chitra Lekha Yadav stressed the need for ensuring employment-oriented and quality education to all children in the country.

Pointing out the need of collective initiatives of all bodies concerned for the formulation of the timely education policy and its implementation, Minister Yadav expressed the belief that the researchers and students would contribute the nation through their knowledge and skills for the development of the education sector.
