8 August, Kathmandu: The Morang Society, Kathmandu, today honoured Minister for General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit, for his significant contributions to make the civil service responsible and disciplined.

At a programme by the Society here, former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal presented a letter of appreciation to Minister Pandit on the behalf of the Society.

The fourth amendment of the Civil Service Act has prevented the government employees from receiving DV, PR and Green Card of foreign countries.

On the occasion, former PM Nepal expressed the view that the Society should encourage those walking on the right path with good intension.

He said, “We should play a role to encourage Minister Pandit by promoting the works carried out by him with good intension for the sake of the national and the people.”

Similarly, Minister Pandit said that he was moving ahead with a determination to end all evils and aberration that are taking place in the civil service.

Likewise, former Minister Shanker Koirala, Society Chairman Bimal Bhattarai and Vice-Chairman Krishna Murari Koirala, among others lauded the role played by Minister Pandit for the reform in the civil service. RSS
