Minister for Information and Communications, Sherdhan Rai, has said Nepal Telecom should be an ace company by expanding quality services.

Speaking at the 36th establishment day of Nepal Telecom Employees’ Association here Sunday, Minister Rai stressed that the Telecom could satisfy its customers with maximum use of modern technology.

“We are soon bringing an action plan to improve the Telecom services. The employees here should involve in it for the result-oriented implementation, “he added.

He suggested that budget of the rural infrastructure fund of the Nepal Telecom Authority could be invested in education and health sector and the expansion of internet services.

On the occasion, Managing Director of the Nepal Telecom, Buddhi Prasad Acharya, said an action plan would be forwarded soon in order to provide telecom services to maximum people.

Different people including Sunil Kumar Pokharel from Telecom Board of Director, Vice-Chairman of the Professional Alliance for Peace and Democracy, Nepal, Deepak Subedi, Chairman of Public Cooperation Employees Union, Krishnaman Shrestha, Chairman of Nepal Telecom National Employees Association, Jay Bahadur Shahi, also expressed their views.
