The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Pokhara has announced a prize of Rs 100 thousand to anyone providing information about the ultra-light aircraft that went missing on October 8.

The CAAN Pokhara Office, through a notice it issued today, stated that the award would be given on behalf the Pokhara Ultra-light Company to anyone providing information about the site the ultra-light met with an accident, according to Yogendranath Kunwar, Chief of the Search and Rescue Coordination Sub-centre.

The ultra-light aircraft went missing some time after taking off from the Pokhara Airport at 10.30 am on October 8. The accident site could not be located yet although helicopters, other ultra-light aircraft and police on ground were mobilized in the search for the missing ultra-light, said the administrative officer at the CAAN Pokhara Office, Kashinath Poudel.

The pilot, a Russian national, and another South African tourist were on board the missing ultra-light aircraft. RSS
