Mangalbare (Ilam), Oct. 30: Chairman of the erstwhile Constituent Assembly (CA), Subas Nembang, has stressed the need of participation of all the political parties in the constitution formulation process.
Nembang, who is also the CPN (UML) candidate from Ilam constituency-2 in the forthcoming CA election, said this while addressing a election rally held at Amchok in the district on Tuesday.
He called upon all the political parties to set aside their grievances and join in the CA election so that the country would get a constitution in time. “Rather than development, constitution formulation is the priority at present,” he added.
Nembang stressed on holding the election in a free and fair manner for drafting a new constitution and also for institutionalizing the past achievements as federalism, inclusiveness, secularism and the democratic republic.
The former CA chairman is currently on a door-to-door visit campaign in his constituency. He has so far visited over 12 VDCs in his constituency in this connection. RSS
