6 Sept, Kathmandu: Three Madhesi political parties, including the Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar-led Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) has departed the Constituent Assembly process, reasoning the big three political parties’ common proposal on amendment of the revised bill of Nepal’s constitution 2072 would not resolve current crisis.

Chief Whip of MJF (D) Yogendra Chaudhary informed that his party could not be a witness to the process that would invite further conflict in the country. He added that the common amendment proposal of the big three parties did not come in line with the aspirations of the Madhesi, indigenous nationalities, Muslim and Tharu community.

The meeting of the MJF (D), Rastriya Madhes Samajbadi Party and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Republican) Sunday evening concluded that their parties so far contributed well to constitution writing process from the CA. These parties have 18 CA members in total.

“Now, the parties have decided to reach the people,” Chief Whip Chaudhary added. RSS
