6 Oct-Bardibas (Mahottari): Two people were injured by lightning at Laxminiyan VDC in the district on Saturday evening.
The injured are Bir Bahadur Thing, 58, and his wife Chandri Maya Thing, 55, of Lakminiyan VDC-9, said the District Police Office.
The lightning struck them while they were sitting at their own house. They are being treated in a local health centre at Gaushala in the district, said Inspector Shambhu Prasad Baral of the District Police Office.
They are now out of risk, said the Centre sources.
Likewise, the thunderbolt has damaged a house of Mina Bahadur Bal at the same VDC turning into ashes the property worth around Rs 200,000. RSS
