19 Feb, Chitwan:
Former Prime Minister and coordinator of the Naya Shakti campaign, Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that the proportional representation of the all the ethnic communities was not yet secured despite the promulgation of the constitution.

Inaugurating the Sixth National General Convention of Nepal Kumal Reforms Committee in Bharatpur today, he called upon all to be united for securing the inclusive representation.

He said the political parties were not capable for addressing the present issues and that the country could not be developed in this manner.

Reiterating that the political parties should move ahead in a new way and in an organised manner for implementing the constitution, the leader of the Naya Shakti (new political force) campaign Dr Bhattarai said that their campaign was for the uplift of the oppressed, marginalized and minority communities.

He suggested the marginalized and minority communities to work in a more organized manner for securing their rights as the country cannot prosper until they are empowered, alleging that none of the political parties had paid attention to this.

The two days long general convention will elect a new leadership of the Committee. Nagendra Kumar Kumal presided over the programme. RSS
