As many as 208 trafficked women have been rescued from Kakadvitta checkpoint, Jhapa, in the last six months.

Officials of Maiti Nepal, an organization working against women trafficking, shared so amid a programme organized here today.

The Organization also shared that a total of 250 women were rescued in 2014 who were being trafficked to various Indian cities.

Govinda Ghimire, Chief of Maiti Nepal of Kakadvitta said that only 40 women out of 78 missing were found this year. RSS
