Spokesperson of CPN (Maoist Center) Pampha Bhusal has said the announcement of date for the long-halted local poll was afoot.
Speaking at a face-to-face programme organised by the Rafat Sanchar Club, here Sunday, Bhusal said the government was planning to announce the local poll date within mid-November. Top leaders of three major political parties were working out on a draft to declare the poll date by taking the dissenting parties into confidence.
Giving her support to the 25-point joint statement issued during Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s recent visit to India, the party Spokesperson of the major ruling party argued that the statement was in line with the principle of Panchasheel, the major base of the country’s foreign policy.
Leader Bhusal said the government had already provided around 500,000 earthquake survivors with the first installment of the house rebuilding grants with accelerating post-quake reconstruction drive.
