The government has decided to recommend Chief of General Staff of the Nepalese Army (NA), Rajendra Chhetri, to the post of Acting Chief of Army Staff.
Today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers held at Singh Durbar decided to recommend CoGS Chhetri’s name to the President for appointment to the post of Acting CoAS from August 11, said Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal.
Chief of Army Staff, Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana, is staying on leave from August 11 one month before the termination of his service term as per the NA’s tradition. RSS
