Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Rajendra Chhetri has cautioned the people associated with the army organization to keep in mind security sensitivities, organizational secrecy and institutional dignity of the organization while presenting their opinion.

The army chief said this addressing an interaction organized at the NA Headquarters on Wednesday among the incumbent and retired high-level officials of NA on the subject of Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

He suggested the authors associated with the army organization to present their ideas and opinions in a way to positively contribute to consolidate national security, keep organizational confidentiality and enrich institutional dignity through autobiographies, books, write-ups and interviews.

COAS Chettri drew attention of NA former chiefs and high-level officials in the context when the books recently published in their names received comments and criticism from different quarters of life especially on the matters of national security and organizational confidentiality.

Today’s need is to present examples in the area of development works and nature conservation taking the government and public trust on the army organization as an opportunity, he noted.

Among various matters featured in the interaction were overall status of NA, welfare plan and human rights, according to the NA Department of Public Relations.
