Kathmandu, Feb. 22: In the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament held on Friday, lawmaker of the Rastriya Janamorcha, Chitra Bahadur KC, congratulated Nepali Congress (NC) President, Sushil Koirala, on his election as the Prime Minister and said Nepali people have given the mandate to the NC and CPN (UML) to run the state taking all political parties into confidence. He urged the NC and UML to behave as per the public desire.

Jaydev Joshi, lamaker of the CPN (United), also extended congratulations to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and urged him to end the current NC- UML dispute. The rift over power sharing that was seen between the two parties has spread the negative message among the people, he added.

Similarly, lawmaker of Rastriya Madhes Socialist Party, Dharmendra Kumar Sah, said it was possible to promulgate a new constitution from the Constituent Assembly (CA) within a year forging the environment of political consensus, collaboration and coordination among the parties.

Likewise, Eknath Dhakal, lawmaker of Nepal Pariwar Dal, said Nepali people are hopeful of getting a new constitution within a year, so the constitution writing process should be accelerated as per the public expectation.

Shivalal Thapa, lawmaker of Rastriya Janamukti Party, Yashoda Kumari Lama of Dalit Janajati Party, Gopal Dahit of Tharuhat Terai Party, Rukmini Chaudhary of Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch, Prem Bahadur Singh of Samajbadi Janata Party, Harish Charan Sah of Nepali Janata Dal, and Dimpal Kumari Jha of Sanghiya Sadbhawana Party, also expressed their confidence that the nation would get new constitution during the Prime Minister Koirala’s tenure.
